I'm looking for cut-away pictures of a stock exhaust, I believe some people opened up their muffler to remove the interior baffles, I'd like to see the pictures and find out the exact composition of the muffler. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Bruckner

I would also be very interested is knowing how this is done. I know I've read of one or two people doing it with favorable results.

i forgot to take my camera with me when i gutted my cans or else id have pics. i did post some pics here showing where to cut to have the insides just fall right out. the thread below shows you exactly where to cut the mufflers open. it took me a couple min to get the second muffler done, but the first one took forever since i didnt cut it in the right spots.

Thanks for the pics. Is there a noticeable performance gain? How much louder than stock is it?

its reasonably louder than stock. once i put my helmet on, i can still hear it (esp below 4-5K rpms) after that it gets quieter.

powerwise i cant answer. i dont see it making that huge of a difference, but it is possible. i just couldnt tell. now if i had done headers too, then i probably would have noticed it.
