VFR750FV ECU CDI leak sticky fluid

Hi , anybody encounter or seen issue where CDI leaks a sticky fluid. Picture attached. At the moment bike is still able to run but not sure for how long.

 

Could be a leaky capacitor. If so, you'll want to replace the unit before it quits and/or before the corrosive fluid eats stuff up.

 

+1 on a bad electrolytic capacitor

 

Don't think is a capacitor leak - looks like the encapsulation resin breaks down or melt. View attachment 28308

Hope this work. Note sure what cause it to melt though.

What the ECU should be - it is fully filled with epoxy or whatever..

Go on Ebay and buy one. I would'nt run your bike with that burned oot piece as I would be afraid it destroying other stuff.
