That's a big part of it, the front has been lowered almost 2".

Seems to me its been lowered. I did it with Lustracing triangles and raised the forks 8mm...I will take some photos and post in a bit.
I also had my stock stand shotened...Kind of like yours with the round foot....
Hows it handle? I noticed a big inprovement on handling for the better

    Thanks for your input.

I can't tell if the handling is better or worse because this is the only gen 6 VFR I've ridden and I bought it used with this mod already made on it.

Are you sure you meant 8mm, that's only 5/16 of an inch! From everything I've gathered the stock distance from the top of the fork down to the top of the triple clamp is 41mm, mine is 76mm. So apparently the triple clamp has been dropped 35mm or about 1 3/8".

I have no complaints about the handling (although like I said I don't know what a non-lowered one is like) and I like the fact the bike is about 1 1/2" lower from the center of the gear shift lever shaft to the ground. I'm just wondering if this is a normal safe modification to make to the gen.6 forks.

IF the rear has been lowered, too, it was to accomodate a shorter rider. HOWEVER, that's too much; you can't have much suspension left before you start hitting things up front...???

Computer lessons are only held on Wednesday's sorry Bro, you just missed the class! j/k

In Adobe pdf reader you can take a "snapshot" of the page, then paste that into an MS Paint file as an image file and use the tools within MS Paint. If you have the Adode pdf program that allows you to make and edit pdf files, I believe there are tools in that program that allow for the same capabilities. It's been a while since I used the latter program so I could be mistaken.
