Hey guys, new to the forum but not to VFR's. I had a 1995 vfr 750 for three years and loved the bike. All of my street bikes since then have been "sportier"(cbr,r1,rc51),but now its time to go back to a VFR. I look forward to longer rides and taking passengers(kids and wife), something the RC51 was not good at. I would like to do an even trade for a VFR,but could also put down some cash for the right bike. I have been enjoying the "vibe" here at VFRworld and have done alot of reading that I have a clear direction for the mods I hope to do when I get my VFR. Which is faster, the red or the white? Would it be ok to post an ad in the classifieds as a newbie?

Agreed. I still miss my rc51. There is nothing like the visceral sound and feel of an rc51.

    Welcome to the forums TW!

Hi, my name is FMB42 and I'm happy to admit that I'm a VFR Addict (VFRA).

I, and my fellow members, hope that you too find your inner peace among the friendship, help, and humor this forum offers.

Btw, maybe "Mitch" is holding some VFRs...

Agreed, I really miss my RC51. If I could go back and do it again, I would have never sold my RC. Finance the 2014 VFR if you must. Just keep that RC51

Don't get rid of your old motorcycles ever! They are like work boots/cowboy boots/cds/tools, you get the idea. You will regret the loss down the road. Can you ever have too many baseball caps? I will answer for you, "NO" thats the answer. You have to paint the picture of another bike being like adding a baseball cap to your collection. Don't take any chit

If you truly desire to trade, you should share your location, details and images?

Thanks for the warm welcome and all your opinions about the RC. I truely love the RC, I have never kept a bike this long and it reminds me why every time I take it for a ride. Problem is I don't ride it much,I keep reaching for the Husqvana keys when I get a chance to ride. I hope the more comfortable riding position and relaxed manners of the VFR will coax me back to street riding. The RC is a great bike at going fast, I hope to get away from the speed (stupid speed) and think the VFR will allow me to still ride a great handling sportbike without needing to "push" everytime I go for a ride. I live in western MA., it is a 2002 with 29,xxx miles. Sato Ti slip-ons w/ powercammander.I will post an ad in classified tonight with pictures and more info.

I love my VFR750 (Owned 21 years) but I'd never sell my RC51. They're only going to go up in value from now on, so it's not like it's a bad bike to keep a hold of. The VFR can still be a fast bike too, though...

It's an old picture. The RC51 is gone but not forgotten. It lost it's life on a gravel filled corner in SW Wisconsin with my son on board. The bike was totaled and my son was unscathed!!! Full ATGATT! Don't get me wrong the VFR has "Heart" but the RC51 had "Soul"!!! My son ended up with a big lesson about gravel and the insurance bought a cbr1000rr for a replacement. The RC 51 was fast but the CBR1000RR is "Stupid Fast". The RC51 Still has more "Soul" and the VFR Still has more "Heart" Than the CBR1000RR.
