Polished rims

Hi guys,
Please I need to see a few pics of your polished rims, most important the rear rim. I have a 2002 with black rims.The smooth sections of the rear rim are not equal on both sides and I would like to see the affect this has appearance wise.
The gallery is too big to browse through.
I have thought about respraying the rims silver at the same time but somehow the black rims look mean.
Any opinions?

if so, those are just the other color stock rims. it seems that the rims come in either silver or black color from the factory (depending on the body color)

i wouldnt mind black rims on mine, but then again, the bike and windscreen are black, so black rims would match.

 

Hi, yes the silver rim is what I have in mind, but I want to polish the outer edges too, I would really lioke to see a black polished rim however.

 

I have an 06. I wish I had black rims with a red stripe.

did you add the stripe yourself or did it come that way? Is the stripe the reflective kind of paint? I saw this on a black CBR900RR and it had a blue stripe on his rims and it was made of reflective paint - very cool!

that looks awesome. How did you get the wheels like that, was it a lot of work? Something someone could do with limited tools? Oh and the exhaust heat shield, I dig the black, if you dont mind, where did you pick that up?

Never losT, it's not to difficult but it does take some time. First you must strip the paint which takes some work. Then it's just a matter of polishing the aluminum underneath. Doesn't take any special tools.

As for the exhaust shield. That is the Carbon Fiber shield that comes with the Leo Vince exhaust system. If you order the stainless or the carbon fiber system it will come with that shield. I believe the Ti system comes with a Ti shield but I could be wrong. It may come with the carbon fiber shield as well. Thanks for the compliments on my bike.
