So there I was, minding my own business on Craigslist.. Browsing for a vintage cb750 to café Bob and I found this:

An 83 vf750f. Kinda ratty, definitely rigged but fixable. What sold me was the brand new Michelin tires and the completely mint gas tank. 10k miles AND the oil lines to the cams have been installed.

So, there she sits with her sisters Isabella, the vtx and Roxanne, the 84 vf700f..

Seriously, someone help curb this addiction.

Also, what is an "f1" exhaust?? Any good?

I'm right there with you, constantly browsing CL for bikes. Theres plenty of clean 1st Gen Vmaxes, ZRX1200s, VTX1800s, full touring rigs, old CB's for a cafe racer type project......Way to easy to convince oneself that another bike is a good idea.

On the F1's. Made by Cobra exhaust. They were the more affordable slip-on back in the day. The co seemed to have a thing for V4 Honda as their products were available for Interceptors, Sabres & Magnas. I say affordable as they were cheaper in price than Yoshi or other big name pipes. Cobra still makes pipes these days but pretty much for cruisers.

Are they any good? More or less a lower cost replacement for OEM if your bike went down. Probably no real difference in power just changing the exhaust note. The ones on your bike look like they've held up well over the years. You might find someone willing pay a little $$$ for the them if you decide to sell them as they are no longer available. Clean ones are hard to find & they were popular back in the day.
