    Hey vfrworld,

My name is Brian and I like turtles....I mean motorcycles. I am 26 and have been riding since '95. I enjoy track days, off-roading (MX and DS), cruising, and long walks on the beach. If it has wheels, it gets me all warm and fuzzy inside. I started riding on an '86 Honda TRX 70 when I was 7 or 8. Below I've listed all the recreational vehicles I've owned / crashed if you're interested. I've also listed my current bikes and included some cheesy pictures to go along with them. I currently live in Maryland, but spend most of my time in Philadelphia with RevZilla. My 110 mile commute (round trip) is the perfect excuse to ride 15k+ miles a year. Thank you for the welcome and I look forward to talking bikes and gear with everyone.

    Current Bikes

    1. Motocyke (kindergarden graduation gift - picture is from Google, but I have the same model in better condition) I must say it does look a little like an RC30.
    2. '06 ZX6R (track day bike)
    3. '13 KLR 650 (Ride of Shame)
    4. '07 VFR 800 "borrowed" (sharing is caring)

    Owned / Crashed

    • ‘86 Honda TRX 70 ATV
    • Phantom Stalker (Kart)
    • '95 Honda XR100
    • '93 Kawi KX 80
    • '2000 Yamaha 200 Blaster
    • '97 Honda TRX 350 ATV
    • '01 Polaris 400 Scrambler ATV
    • '04 Kawi KX 250

Welcome aboard. Wow, a real introduction and willing to show a picture of man-law being broken! :couple_inlove::wink:

So what's your impression of the VFR?

Quite the set of rides you've had. How many were crashed vs. sold?

    Welcome, Brian!

Were you the dude at Revzilla I spoke to back in April about whether the Michelin PR4 standard or the GT version would be better for my VFR? I remember the guy said he had a Viffer as well & recommended the standard version.....

at any rate, glad to have you here! I'm in VA & about a half dozen of us do day rides almost every weekend....you're welcome to join from MD if the ride isn't too far. I assume you're north of Baltimore?

I like Jesus Lizards, and things with two wheels too. :vtr2: I listen to Beck on summer nights with an Odouls in my left hand, nothing in the right. Keep the rubber side down and we need pictures of a crusty nasty KLR in drab green. :worthless:

    Pliskin,

Thanks! Yeah, the "ride of shame" took place in the Pocono Mountains. My friend Dan's KLR had a broken air-box. A piece of the air-box got caught in the carb and caused random WOT spurts. I shouldn't laugh but, it was funny to watch.

The VFR is so darn smooth, has usable power, manages its weight extremely well, freaks me out when the V-Tec kicks in, is comfortable and sounds glorious. It reminds me of my friends early 2000 F4i, but BETTER!

Anyone notice a trend? Every one of those contributed to a concussion or two, totaling around 7-8 I believe. My neurologist loves me, though.

I believe so. It was either CK or myself. We had PR3s and went to PR4s on "our" bike.

I use to be down in Baltimore, but have since move north to North East, Md. If you're familiar with the Cecil County Drag Way, I can throw a rock and hit it, and my arm is not that good.

I appreciate the invite. I have no problem riding to VA. I was down there a few weeks ago for a concert and on my way back I took a detour into Fredrick, Md for a KTM demo ride. I rode the 1290 Super Duke R and haven't stopped smiling (that's a lie, no one can smile that long).

Thanks, Scubalong. That's right! I can take a rough crowd, and if I can't you won't know it because I'll cry at my computer!

In all seriousness, everyone has been awesome and it means a lot!
