I was thinking about this again and I like my bike because it is one of the best bikes ever built...not because it is a Honda. Honda just happened to build it. I avoid telling other people what to buy unless I'm ready to buy it for them. But to buy something BECAUSE it's a HD...ugh.

Those videos made my morning

I got a buddy, that has a bunch of old Suzuki oil/air cooled Gixxers along with an old Katana 1100, 98 R1 and an old 750 limited gixxer. He bought a HD Night-train and put a springer front end on it. I personally never rode it, but have heard him say that the ride went to chit but it looks cool, same as that open belt he installed, just don't wear your bell-bottoms or flair jeans while riding it. If I do take a ride with him and he is oot on that dawg, I usually have to end up waiting for him to catch up with the other cruiser riders. Kinda lost touch with him anyway :loco:

I could see it almost if it got you alot of tail, but he never hooked up because of that HD, so I would rather go fast and feel good, than ride slow and sit on my arse bone. Cheers

Interesting read and not good PR, Harley Davidson the Corvair of motorcycles unsafe at any speed. The funny thing in the article when he stated " The whole bike started shaking " my first thought he'd just started the engine.

I baby-sat a Harley for a friend for about a year while he was going through the "Big D". I rode it about 20 miles a month just to keep it from gumming up. What a piece of CRAP!!! I thought it'd be cool to have a beautiful HD hanging out in the garage and get to take it out for a spin every once in a while. Wow, was I disappointed. My XR250L rides better than that thing. I felt off balance all the time and it felt like it weighed 5000 pounds. No wonder they wobble all over the road.

See I've had a nasty wobble in my old Nighthawk 550 around 30mph a few times, but that was with a leaking fork, cupped front tire, and the damn bike was 30 years old. A cop cruiser? Had to be made in the last 5 years and well maintained.
