Does anyone know anything about changeing the swing arm on a '86 VF500 to accept a larger rear? I know it's been done, I saw a website on it but lost the bookmark.

    VF500 Rear

You can just mount a Hurricane 600 rear rim in the existing swingarm. i don't have the specifics on the swap, but i remember seeing it online somewhere- steve scott used to have a page...

I make kits to install a CBR600F2 rear wheel with a 160 tire on the 500's. Check out my site for more details.

This link should work for fitting Hurricane 600 wheels... if not join the Yahoo VF500 group, since thats where i found it... You can also just fit the complete Hurricane front end- i believe the forks spacing is correct to simply slide Hurricane forks into VF500 triples- but dont quote me on that, its been a while since i have actually done the swap. Hurricane wheels are 17" and wider
