I'm the second owner. This key was the only key I have. Is a dealership able to help me out, or do I need to go to a locksmith to get them open.?

You should be able to put the broken part back in and giggle a while and the lock may turn. Otherwise locksmith time. If they are Honda bags may be the dealer can get a key if you have a lock number.

I think the key broke as I was locking the handlebars. Can't get the key to go into the case. Have lock set 126, but need in now as work supplies are in the bags. Have to wait until 9:00 for the dealership to open.

I am with Grey on this, a qualified locksmith should make quick work of this problem for a boot $40 ish bucks I would guess.

I agree with the locksmith. I am quite confident in Honda techs to work on the mechanics but locks are a different issue. Word of advise. Soon as you loose or break one key, get the damned thing replaced, like right fuggen now. Also take your spare set of keys, luggage and ignition, with you on extended trips.

Yep, Honda couldn't help. Took it to a locksmith who used what was left of the key to make a new one. Just the tip broke off the old key. He then kept trying to open the bag and then adjust the new key with a file until it worked. He got both open so I could get my stuff and get to work. He kept one of the cases so he could fine tune the key to work perfectly. Wife picked the case and three copies of the new key later in the afternoon. Thought I was going to get bent over, but only paid $18.

    Thank you http://www.carljarl.com/
