    (1) I need to add-on a weatherproof dual power & USB charger to my 2010 VFR1200F.
I'd like to be able to charge my Samsung cell and support heating my gear while riding.

Q: If there a consensus on the best product for the money ?

+ The official Honda assessory seams high priced and only a single cigarette style charge ($99 + wiring).
+ The ebay choices are weatherproof, much lower priced, and appear simple to install - yet I am concerned with quality.

Regrets if this is the wrong Forum, I am glad to redirect this thread if necessary.

    (2) Regarding Honda's red hard-side-bags for the 2010

    I found them today on-line for $1,189.96
    The retail is = $1,399.95
Q: is that about the best i'll find for new ones?

Thanks for the quick response ...

I sent my requirements to 'WIRE MY BIKE'

NOTE: If I can endure the required patience, the blue bags are a phenomenal price.
Geez, why not paint the whole bike that color : -)

Another option for a waterproof fuse panel would be this power center sold by Twisted Throttle. It is considerably more expensive and larger than one from Wire My Bike. Both of the fuse centers have 6 individual circuits and each is rated to handle 15 Amps per circuit.

Here is a link to both of the power hub centers that Twisted Throttle offers. At $119 (Denali Power Hub) and $199 (Rowe Power Hub) they are not cheap but they might be worth a look.

WoW !! Thanks for the references to the TT and Denali power hubs.

I see the long term solution to power needs in those 2 products. That seems to be the right strategy.

However, because of cost, I may go for a short term fix (individual USB / cigarette charger) and plan for a TT/Denali solution. I can reuse the short term solution after applyin the TT/Denali. Maybe not, I may go for it now : -)

Thanks so much for the references and education. In the last week I have learned more than the past 5 years by researching and participating in this forum.

    WoW !!

FINISHED! For full disclosure and closure : -]

Although I was operating mostly blind because of the cramped VFR1200 spaces,
I replaced the high-beam bulb with a Sylvania that is brighter / nicer.

I decided to hold-off on replacing the low-beam.
It's even a more cramped space and I like the blue tint.
That low-beam bulb appears different that than high beam.
I want to check out whether it is different before making that change.
