    Hi to all
Its been a while but here is a progress shot of my VFR ,my plan is to have it as a rolling frame by Christmas.
The front end has been rebuilt, the frame cleaned and the swing arm and suspension linkage has all been re-raced.
I'm after some advice on the rear tire, I am running a Battleaxe on the front and want to run the same on the rear but what size 130/70/18 or 140/70/18? GEDC0064.jpg

engine stripped inspected and rebuild now installed
most of the wiring hooked up
not happy with my switch gear, tried to give some life to them but they are to weathered and have lost their detail so I need to find another option? GEDC0080.jpg

Wow that looks fantastic!! I assume you've tried the petroleum jelly trick on your switchgear? My switchgear was very weathered and I left a layer of jelly on it for about a week. Polished up really well after that...maybe not show room condition though. Keep up the good work!

Looking real good. I remember when I did mine like that. Except for the engine build. Any hot rodding of it? For the switches you could use a paint for plastic like Krylon Fusion, doubt you have that down there though. The problem is the lettering. Check ebay of coarse, they have everything. Keep with the updates. It's good to know some of these old bikes are being very nicely restored.

Thanks for reply and the words of encouragement.
I didn't do any hotting up of the engine it was mainly to check the unknown . When I bought it of one of the guys from work it was running but had been parked up for a couple of years.
I gave the switch gear a light sand and tried with some plastic paint ,but the results look quiet cheap, lettering is the main problem as most of this has gone so I may have to look at the 90s era vfr switches, if they are an easy fit.

    another progress picture
I know there is a bit of time between these updates but other commitments take priority at times. having the front fairing complete is a bit of a mile stone.
I'm no spray painter but i'm pleased with the results so far.

Just moved back to our home after being working interstate for three years.
I assembled the bike for the trip back on our trailer as I didn't want the removalist to cause any accidental damage being transported in the removal truck.
well it rained for the two days of travel so the result was a very dirty bike and some minor damage to the fairing from the straps.
