Carbon Fiber Rear Hugger?

My 98 has a CF rear tire hugger.

Is this an OEM piece?

No, none of the VFRs came with a tire hugger, CF or otherwise. Post a pic and someone will recognize the brand.

 

I don't even know of any CF huggers for the VFR. It may be a CF pattern or decal over a fiberglass hugger. I'd like to see the thing as well.

 

Harris makes one along with Skidmarx. I just bought a fiberglass Skidmarx for my 5th, didn't want to pay the extra $100 for CF. But they are available.

My Harris hugger is carbon fiber, but I also bought it 11 years ago so they may no longer offer it. A quality piece of kit for sure.

 

I'll snap a pic later on today. It's not a complete hugger/chain guard. It ends right on top of the chain guard.
