    Hello,

I ride a Honda X11, and wanted something a little older, and a little more practical to get me to work on. I found a 1991 VFR750 nearby for £750 with 50K on the clock (taxed and tested for a year) and felt I couldn't go wrong.

Aside from a few minor issues I would like to sort out it is perfect, smoother than the X11, much lighter AND goes round corners! It has a Maxton rear shock, pyramid hugger, a scorpion exhaust system and Goodridge braided brake lines.

Does the forum offer a workshop manual download anywhere? I'm probably being stupid and can't find it. I have a Haynes (known as the book of lies), but I need to do some jobs and would like as much info as possible.

    To do:
    Fork dust seals
    Oil/filter change
    Fuel filter change
    Grease suspension link

Shold keep me busy, although the idea was to just ride it!
    Cheers.

Welcome aboard. You used to be able to get manuals here, but now not Im so sure. Try the search function, think there is a link to a VFRdiscussion page where you can get one.
Once you have done that, post some pics of your bike, 3rd Gens (as your 1991 is called here) are well loved.

Yeah, was just looking at them, nice scoop. Hate you guys for the way you can pick up cheap VFR's (they hardly ever come up here in SA, but there was a '91 on Gumtree today for R32K, which is over 2000 Pounds)

Wow! That is way more than I would want to pay unless I was looking for a weeked toy. I was firmly looking for bikes under a grand. I feel for you.

Don't feel too bad for us, we do have glorious riding weather all year round. Bikes are pretty pricey though, and VFR's quite rare (750/800's that is, lots of 400's knocking about). In fact, I was just thinking that aside from mine, I have never seen a 4th Gen in the flesh.
