Nope, no way, no thanks, not on your life, ain't a chance, never in hell. I'll take my ramp over one of those things. Harley's have to use them because they have no choice, but I'll never use one except on a Harley.

    Motorcycle center lift stand

Understand your concerns fully! I had the same suspicions, but this Bursig design works!!!!

    Check out the video ...

The video doesn't show how you can put weight on the bike once on the stand. It is incredibly stable, can be locked so the wheels don't move.

The Bursig looks a lot better than any of the other types of lifts I've seen like that. At least you don't have to worry about the darn thing falling off.

The Bursig center lift design is incredibly stable, and is engineered for particular bikes (as opposed to the "one size fits all" approach of other manufacturers. I was a bit skeptical at first, then tried it out, will never buy another stand again, it's sheer brilliance. It also defies logic, as it seems and looks like it just can't be stable or secure.

I frequently have my VFR on the stand and move it about, work on the bike, sit on it ... Absolutely no worries. And with the vfr not having a center stand, his makes it even better. The set up initially takes time, but once set it is literally 2 mins to get it on or off the stand. Like many bikers I have limited garage space ... I'll pop the vfr on the stand and then just push the bike into a quiet corner of the garage. Easy as pie.

If anyone is interested I found competitive pricing on these stands ... The original Bursig set up will remove a lot of green backs for your savings! Having said that, the Bursig is very good and quality kit to have.

Well, you may have to buy another stand if an adapter for the next bike you buy isn't offered by Bursig. One of the issues with something that is bike/model specific. They don't even offer an adapter for the pre-1200 VFR's.

The harbor freight lift is fine. Wait for it to go on sale for like 350 and use a 20% off coupon. I got mine out the door for around 280. Also coated the surface with Herculiner so it isn't super slick.

Hmm, Herculiner is a good idea. I may have to do that.

You have a point but now that I have it, making another adaptor plate is a cinch.
