    Hey All,

Another new VFR owner here, newely moved to Adelaide (SA) and needed a new bike (on a budget), scored a 2002 VFR 800 fairly cheap, last bike was a CBR600 F4 (00 model) which I loved and miss (had to sell due to interstate move and cost of taking it with me) but wanted something different (not that sporty these days!)

Loving the engine on this new beast, coming from the inline 600 torque is great, and sound is awesome with the Staintune pipes, so far very happy to be in the VFR club.

picci of old and new bike here.

    Cheers
    Ben

Hi Ben, and welcome, nice vfr there with the staintunes and a great sound, remove the baffles if it has them in, also loosen your mirror mounts a bit and put oggy knobs on if it hasn't got them. save a bit of heart ache if it falls over for any reason, enjoy riding the vfr, l can't keep off mine.

    Welcome and congrats.
Most people find the VFR's very addictive.
Don't be afraid to ask for help or knowledge. Tons of it here.

Thanks guys, so far just learning the new beast and looks like a fair bit of useful info in here which is awesome. Throttle needs adjusting as there is a bit too much free play (but found a thread on that!) also its got a power commander under the seat and was supposedly tuned for the pipes so will probably fiddle with that also at some point (and hopefully not break anything)...

Welcome aboard! Liked the paint on your old bike, I found they virbated the seat and tank alot at speed. You will enjoy your new v-four, much smoother/refined bike.
