I'd give him 10 points for the dismount.

This idiot bike rider doesn't have a motorcycle license and also still chooses to ride without a helmet which simply amazes me. Yes the car was 100% to blame but based on his actions this rider obviously doesn't care if he gets killed

His mentality may have saved him. But his mentality may also kill him.

    That said:
I once met a 70 year old guy who got hit by a car. He was crossing a street as a pedestrian and saw a car turn the corner.

He claimed he knew he couldn't get away in time so he steadied himself and began counting in preparation to jump over the vehicle.

The way he recounted it he had a lot of time to cross. Who knows. Either way he walked away from the hit and run.

And oh yeah, now I want an ejector seat, jet pack, a parachute and a pogo stick in case I land in front of a semi.

So, you think we need air bag motorcycles ala "Goldwing?" Or better yet an air bag suit like you mentioned? When it comes to that, I will stop riding, sad to say. Hope our government never imposes some sort of :bs: stuff like that. I heard, that they can't sell non-ABS motorcycles in Germany, but would not bet on the source I heard it from.

    Cheers

Consciously launching over the roof of a oncoming turning vehicle as my bike slammed into its side saved me from injury in the crash I had in the '80s. This riders cartwheel was by far more stylish as I just flew superman like until I hit the road flat sliding face down on my visor, mind I was AGATT so luckly got up without any gravel rash. ☺
