I was going to see if the engine on my parts bike runs or not, had to put pulse generator back in and opened up the crank case to have water pour out. the carbs have been off for a while and it has rained quite a bit. is this bad rings or something? or is it ossible it got in through the crank case itsels feeing the gasket isnt great and the plug for the wire that comes out the top is gone as its hooked to the pulse generator?

Could also have been a head gasket failure.

was figuring that might be the case :( so much for not having to tear one of the motors apart, at least the origonal one from the bike is half apart.

The rings and bores usually rust up so fast that they seal the water from getting down into the crank

I spun it over by hand a bout 2to months agovwhen i got it it turned easy so not sure
how much eust could have been in there thats why i was thinking rings may be bad ill have to pull plugs out and load them with something to see what happens i guess if all else fails ill just finish the other engine

pour some oil in them carb holeys and turn it over a few times and it will be fine--these are some really stout motors that will run after lots of abuse. Then get some aluminum foil and rubber bands and make some covers to keep sheit out of there...
