Hi all, problem number 3 from my recent "junk?" purchase.

When cold, in the morning only, as I get going, I hear a whine from apparently the cluster. Could be a cable needing lubed. Do you agree. I can get a sound clip actually, just want to know if someone had that before.

FYI - I love my bike, needs work, but awesome fun.

Had that problem myself on my vf500 magna. yes it's the cable, lubing it would do wonders for the longevity. also check for a break in the cable housing that lets out lube, and check to make sure routing is as straight as possible.

It gets louder with speed, not rpm, it is the speedo cable. I don't have a book yet, any tips on where, or how to lube it (no fapping jokes please).

    Thanks!

EDIT: how do I lube that cable?
