I didn't find any reference to these filters in a search of this site. I have a '96 VFR and called the local dealers for an air filter and found that it's so uncommon they won't carry in stock and have to order at more than $50 a pop. I found the Hiflo Filtro and while searching for information about it I saw another forum (I think the CRF450, maybe) that said that's a good filter manufacturer. I went ahead and ordered one for $20, got it and installed it, it looks identical to the factory filter, fit perfectly and seems to have been the right choice for me. Time will tell if there's any issues with it, but for now, I have a new air filter source

Yep.. fitted a HiFlo Filtro air filter almost 2 years ago (in my '95).. no probs..
I also use the HiFlo oil filters (HFF303) with every change.. also no probs
Have considered the K&N oil filter with the 'nut' attached for easy fitting and removal... but I'd have to 'order in'.. so never bothered
I have a guy who sells the HFF filters on evilbay in the same state.. I buy 4 at a time..
But.. I use the genuine Honda oil... HP4 semi-symthetic, rather than the recommended GN4....
    Cheers

I put a hiflo on my GSX650F a few years back. it did the job.

I think I'm going to not cheap out on my viffer. not to discount the K&N, and HiFlo... but I think I'm going pipercross.
