    Hi everybody,

I'm looking to buy a 07 RWB (sweet) and was wondering how much or how low should my first offer be to get the best deal possible. More important how low will the dealer go before he won't deal any more. Then I came across this add from a Russellville Arkansas Honda dealer on eBay. I realize supply and demand dictate actual purchase price, but this info could help your position with the salesman.

Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about the VTEC? Have you ever ridden a 6th Gen? I'm coming off a 5th Gen and can say that if Honda didn't make technology changes, then people would accuse them of just cranking out the same old same old product. It appears that they can't win.

Honda has been making chain driven cams forever. Yeah, I know the gear driven cams sound cool (as I still have my 2nd Gen), but there if no proof that they are any less reliable as some claim. Also, the VTEC is awesome and not deserving of the complaints that it gets. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and as I have owned a 2nd, 5th and 6th Gen, I don't see why people feel the 6th has gone backwards. It is a sweet ride.

The only problem is that you have to pick it up in person. They can't ship it. I was tempted to buy online as there was another dealer in Ohio. For me, it is just a couple states away, but I just could not find the time to drive out there, so I bought local.

Its a toy..... Nobody needs a bike. The difference between the MSRP and the cost is not that much. The longer you hunt for the "best deal" the less likely you are riding your new RWB VFR. Besides, how much fun is it going hundreds of miles away and then having to take the time and possibly shipping costs into consideration afterward only to realize you didn't really save all that much after all. Enjoy the experience of buying a toy. The deal doesn't matter once you get on your bike and cruise down the road with that V4 singing away. Well it sings more once you put on exhaust:wink: . Good luck!!!

I agree not to let it stop you from buying but I've bought enough cars to know not to line the pockets of dealer if you don't have to.
Besides it's always fun to haggle and especially if your trying to see how low they'll go. When I bought my 86 VFR I paid the 20% tax for the extra 50cc. It was the RWB 750 and I still have today. I'd like to have some of that money back, not that it was the dealers fault. Anyway I think I paided a little over $5300.00 back then. If I can save a little money I'm thinking of all the accessories I could afford for the new bike.
