Radiator temp switch

    Is there a replcement switch/sensor from another bike or car that will fit the radiator of the vfr700?

    Are you talking about the sensor/fan switch on the radiator or the temp sensor at the thermostat?

    Yes, any Honda switch from another bike will work or there are generic autoparts store switches that fit too.

    As it says in the title .... radiator.
    Yes its the fan switch thats in the radiator.
    Since I first posted the question, I have fitted one from a european car. A Fiat Brava. It has a 16x1.5mm thread, just like the Honda one and cost only 7 of the Queens English pounds, or 10 bucks.
    The temp at which it comes on is slightly lower than the 110ºc of the original.
    So let see how it runs.

    Every switch i've seen is stamped "100" (C.) not 110.

    Yeah, if your bike runs warm like my #2 does you may want to go for a lower temp switch like squirrel says.

    Workshop manual states the switch should operate at 110ºc or 230ºf
    So the replacement I bought has a slightly lower temp rating @100
