It s OEM on triumphs motorcycle-looks like it has great air flow and filtering to .05 microns and can be recharged and has a lifetime war.:kc10:

I wonder about the foam filter mod. Does it really improve power all that much? It seems like a lot of work (cleaning and oiling more often than replacing oem filter) and if you don't service it in time dirty air will be delivered to the cylinders.

You have to read the specs, so far I have found nothing better. Installing a air filter on a 6th gen is extremely easy. I don't go 1,000 miles at a time. A bit more air in and using 91 gas should be a good mod. Plus you never have to buy another one. I am very picky with air filters, my car using a k+m filter-I have two-so I recharge them a lot-that way they work perfect.:frog: My car is a redesigned srt-4 set to 179.5 mph and it will do it with a stock turbo with easy 100 race gas or higher. Best tune I have only needs 93 gas. The engine runs best with 100+ gas as most turbo cars would.

I just ordered mine off ebay. Going to put it in along with a new exhaust in a couple weeks so I'll post an update then.

I forgot where I ordered mine from, it was like $80-90 shipped, but when you think about it, it has a lifetime warranty (BMC does not) and actually out flows the OEM filter (neither KN or BMC do) it is totally worth it. I actually wouldn't be surprised if the KN filter actually flows less CFM than the OEM filter, due to the filter media sitting on the velocity stacks and the tiny opening not causing even distribution throughout the sir box.

Yeah mine was about $95 shipped from the UK. I stumbled across the Ninja forums and they were reporting 4 hp gains with the pipercross filter but none with K&N or BMC.

I'll stick with my stock air filter, for now. My yellow baby is fast enough and I sure as heck ain't got time to go pulling the air filter that often.
Maybe one day after I upgrade exhaust and suspension, install pc and upgrade ignition I'll do the air filter.

I just put in my pipercross last night so I thought I'd share some initial thoughts after a quick jaunt last night and riding into work this morning. It does seem to be a bit less restricted with the new filter; this is most noticeable at low RPMs at city driving speeds (just for the record my bike is completely stock other than the filter). It seems to have smoothed out some of the choppiness that normally occurs in the 2-4k range. At highway speeds I didn't notice much difference, perhaps that has to do with the limitations of the stock exhaust not moving enough air out to accomodate the increase of air flowing in. That should change though when I install my Delkevic slip-on next week so I'll post another update then.

I've got a '93 Mazda Rx-7 for my toy car(provided endless fun for the last 8 years), '06 F-150 for the DD. Then of course my '86 R/W/B.

Nice all around. I do like the rx-7, and of course the 86 is a classic.
