I'm experiencing a somewhat predictable and reproducable problem with my viffer. For just a second (or even less) after a couple of seconds of accellerating from a slow crawl or quick stop, i lose all power from the engine like it is shut off, then a moment later its back to normal. Really throws me about when I accellerate strongly.

The lights and what not stay on through this, and the FI light doesn't come on. This afternoon it even happen just after taking off from lights after stopping for 2 secs and stalled completely. I've checked the ECU for codes and it has nothing.

As mentioned, only happens when im pulling up to lights or a roundabout or something where I slow right down and crawl along, or when I come to a quick stop. If I stop at lights for over 10 secs or so, the problem doesn't occur.

I'm thinking something fuel related but I don't know enough about how it all works. Is there anything that could cause this to occur?

That happened on my old V-Max. I'd be driving down the highway and all of a sudden BOOM...nothing. As fast as it shut off, it turned back on. Ended up being my ignition switch on the handlebars.... You might find one on ebay, Mine came new from a Yamaha dealer =(

gday harricanfloyd. Didn't gte any replies to this post so I didn't update the thread. I've found the cause already. It was the PCII that was attached. Without it, bike runs beautiful.

I've yet to find out if the PCII is just fault or needs the map altered/reloaded.
