The good news for those of us with '02-'09 VFR800s is that we are now guaranteed availability of engine parts through 2024.

Considering it shares the same motor as a 6th gen and framework, i wonder if all that cool fairing and swing arm can retrofit on the 6th gen sometime down the line once they start popping up as crashed/salvaged. Id love to have those forks, wheels, swing arm and the subframe.

I'm trying to talk my girlfriend into getting one. She currently rides my CBR250R and wants to upgrade to a Supersport. She's starting to like the idea of comfort on long rides. I almost have her convinced

Sat on this bike on Saturday. Really really nice bike. I have had three VFR800 and three VFR1200. This bike felt good straight away. The pearlescent white is the colour to go for. Hard luggage details are to be released next month. Honda guy has told me the side pods will be 33 litres.

I'm really hoping I'll hate it so I won't be tempted to buy one.
I doubt that will happen though .

Took mine in for 1000km service this morning

Took delivery May 29, not much riding over the weekend, but managed a 500 km afternoon on Tuesday.

My first ever "sporty" bike, getting the old bod used to the riding position will take some time, but i love the bike.

Welcome and congratulations! I think you got the fastest color, too.

Why does everyone else get the cool stuff before us riders in the states?

Not that I'll be buying one when it's available here, but I'm just envious that I don't even have the option.

But he mistakenly says it has upside-down forks which it does not! I hate it when reviewer make careless errors like this.

Roland Brown is British, what do you expect from people that drive on the wrong side of the road. ;)

Seriously, some of the early magazine & web reports also said claimed an upside-down fork. The Motorcyclist article Echo3Niner is referencing also states, "adjustable preload and rebound damping on the 43mm inverted fork..." Your right though. In many of the pic's you clearly make out a traditional telescoping fork.

I just want to sit on one and go vroom-vroom before I decide to buy one.

Nice to finally see reviews and pics of an American spec bike. Didn't think they would keep the gold wheels. Other than Interceptor instead of VFR, it looks about the same to me. I just wished they offered it in the stunning Candy Glory Red of my 07.
I'm pretty sure I will own one in less than 2 years.

RWB w/ gold wheels should be mandatory!
