For those running Dunlop GT501s

For those running Dunlop GT501s. Discontinued

Went on bike bandit to order another set, they're showing the 16 and 18's on closeout. Motorcycle supestore is showing closeout as well. This tells me they've been discontinued : (

Gonna call tomorrow and confirm, but if you were getting close to a tire order might want to get your next pair now.

 

Damn. I use the Gt501 for my track bike( ninja 250) if I can't get those tires anymore I will have to get a different bike for the track. I have atleast 5-6 trackdays left on the current set. I better learn enough in that many days to upgrade to another bike

 

Well, according to the folks at bike bandit. Closeout means discontinued. Sent an email off to dunlop consumer affairs to see if they could confirm or if they had a replacement lined up. Wont hold my breath on a reply. Looks like my next set will be BT45's or the Avons. : /

 

Poop, I may have to scoop some up for my other 86.

 

Well, I got official word back from Dunlop:



"We appreciate your contact and interest in Dunlop !

Yes, the GT501 in the subject sizes have been discontinued and are no longer being produced.

We do not have an alternative replacement to suggest .
