aka Iowa. I just found this site, being a refugee from VFRD, which apparantly is down. So, here I am. I like this place, and I think I'll hang around a bit. A little about me, I'm in Des Moines, IA, almost 40, have way too many toys according to my wife and have launched myself again into the realm of two wheeled enjoyment. I got out of the world about 5 years ago when life began to happen and time was not allowing me to do much riding. On Friday I hope to change that. I will be going to Roca, NE to Rod's Powersports to pick up a new '07 anniversary edition VFR. Which is appropriate, as my first bike ever was an 83 Interceptor. So we'll see how it goes Friday!

You'll like it here better. VFRD may be bigger but it's run by a pack of pompous jerks who act as if you must run your every thought by them before your are allowed the "priveledge" of posting. I was a member of that site for about 2 months. One of the "Senior Members & Moderator" told me I was an idiot just because my TBR exhaust fell apart & I posted that I thought TBR was crap in a thread asking about quality of aftermarket exhausts compared to stock. Aparantly, I should be overjoyed that something I spent my hard earned money on was a POS just because the moderator liked his TBR can.

No sir, I will not return to VFRD. VFRWORLD kicks its sorry butt.

BTW, I've been to both Iowa & Nebraska. Can't say I'm too fond of either place.

    KC-10 FE out...

    Ok,

besides having visited relative/s that live in western Nebraska, at one point, I drove through Nebraska 4 times in one month, though that was 20 years ago. Yes, there are vast, vast tracks of superslab but presumably not alot of traffic. While here in the People's Republic of Massachusetts we have plenty of multi-lane roads, they're all clogged with mindless, clueless drones heading toward or around Boston. I am yet to be brave enough to commute to work on my 6th gen, there are plenty of state roads with lots of twisties. Alas, they're only fun outside of work hours. But I bet you get to 'twist the wrist' regular and often w/o concern about tailgating a senior afraid to go over 25 mph. And the 30 days of June Rain are almost upon us. So dunno, your hell, doesn't sound so bad to me.

    Ride Safe.

This is a great site, hope we can help you with an issue or just plain piss you off when the proper moment presents itself.
