Hey guys, Looking to get a power commander and see that the PC V models are for 2006+ models? Whats different about the power commander V which would only work on the 06+ models? I thought harnesses were the same. From what i saw, the PC V connects directly to the ECU bus connector while the older PC III connects to a injector sub harness? Just wondering if the PC V would work on my 2002 model or if something doesnt jive? I saw a few threads by user stosh thinking about upgrading his PCIII to PCV on his 03 but never really saw the conclusion if anything needed to be done to make it work.

I would say it's because they changed the VTEC in 2006 but I might be wrong...

NM i just found that they make a PCV for the 2002-2009, i didnt see that listed before.
PN# 16-005 its wierd some sites have them listed as 2009 only, some sites states fits 2006-2009. Some sites says 2002-2009. Dynojets site says 2002-2009

I have a PCV on my 2003 with Leo Vince carbon exhaust. It works perfectly. I'm using the Cozey map.

Awesome, I was looking to getting one because I want to put on some catless pipes from delkevic. I'm sure the fuel trim would be out of whack without it.

I just ordered this for my bike from revzilla.com. The power commander website has downloadable maps for most common setups. I'm stoked

I haven't experienced that yet. Maybe you should get a dyno tune? I have Leo Vince slip on and stock air filter and air box. No issues yet

Not a super experienced bike tuner by any means but maybe your idle rpm was set too low? Should be able to data log with the tuner (hopefully) and see what was causing the stalling/dying...
