Hey guys Im new to the site and to owning a bike. I just got a 1999 vfr800 a few days ago and if anybody wants to talk I like to talk
Hi and welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:. I suggest you head straight out to the bike and take some photos and post up at least one picture of your VFR otherwise you may encounter some merciless raggin until you provide proof that the bike exists! (To upload a picture just click reply then click on the "Insert Image" icon and follow the prompts to select photos from your computer.) Whilst some folk on here will argue that choosing a VFR as your first bike may not be a good choice, I think it all depends on you. if you are 6'6" the bike will probably be fine but these bikes are heavy and can be adopt horizontal parking mode with little or no warning. So especially if you are short or fairly light you may want to consider adding some R&G frame sliders, which can really save your pocket and your pride if the bike takes a spill. This thread may give you an idea of how easy it is to drop these bikes... http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/44298-You-dropped-it-how-many-time!:vtr2: Meantime take care, and post up some photos! Well its the first bike that is mine, the first bike I ever rode was a kawasaki 250 dirtbike and Im about 5'7 so I stalled it and dropped it broke the front brake lever off stopped and got off but I was on a hill so it rolled back and fell again because I broke the lever and couldnt hit the brake hahaha my buddy was laughing so hard, then I spent a few months on dads 06 suzuki gsx-650F which was a lot better than the dirtbike because I dropped that thing about 5 times in 30 minutes, almost dumped dads once stalling on a hill but now Im good so far but Im sure Murphy's law will kick in sooner or later
Duccman, when did you grow the magnificent breasts? Oh and welcome to the forum "New Guy", can we just call you ED? You got too many EEEEs and stuff that I get confused trying to type em out. Good looking fifth gen ya have. Looks like it has some 4th gen inspired paint on there. Any mods of interesting stuff?
Thanks guys and Ed is fine. The only real mods are the vance and heins exhaust and -1 tooth in the front sprocket, and also a sargent seat. It needs a little work but it runs good and is really fun. What kind of adventures have yall had on the roads?
