Skewed data.. Back to "statistics don't lie but statisticians do".

No supporting uninterested third person data makes for just another opinion. One might think that the minimum might be to paste in the article.

What the generality implies is that Honda Inc., makes or manufactures every part of any bike under the umbrella.. Leaving out assembly, work bikes under 250cc, markets that are little known or forthcoming.

Global units are extremely different - Honda is the biggest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world, by a very large margin. In fact, I think Honda is actually the biggest manufacturer of engines in the world.

Yeah but the point is they are no longer number one in the big bike field or even their home market.
Reading some more of the paper, Suzuki sold 2.2 million units world wide in 2013, but only 100K were over 250cc
The chance of Honda bringing out a new performance V4 are zilch.

I saw a Desmodici last night on the street parked on grass with very well used tyres & lots of dead flies, that was a 40k GBP or 75k USD bike in 2006, before the financial crisis & Ducati made 1500, all sold before they were built.

I don't think Honda will do that, they are losing market share & closing or reducing factory output, so a big dollar unit is very unlikely. And even if they did make one who could afford to buy it ?

I have. I get Ohlins and a supposed hand built engine, but the dealership is adding $1000 to the price of the bike, because it supposedly is a limited edition. F**k that, for $18,999 I refuse to play that game. But, there are idiots out there that will bend over and take it up the backside of their wallet to have it. But, to me, it seems like a stop gap. I guess I want to see them come out with something that stands out. Maybe I'll just shoehorn a Viffer 1200 into my bike...

The homologation V4 that they are talking about will not be affordable. Expect NR type pricing on it. It will not be in the CBR. It's going to be quite expensive for us regular folk and out of the realm of possibility for most. I've heard 60k, 80k, and 100k but it's supposed to be in there somewhere as far as pricing goes.
