Hello all. I recently purchased a 2005 VFR 800 with only 5k miles on it and so far I love it. I've been riding motorcycles in some form or another since the age of 5. I'm also a former owner of a Kawasaki ZX 636 and a Honda CBR 600RR. I'm 39 now and can only enjoy the riding position of a sport bike for a few hours and that's it. Love the ride position and the V4 motor so far. Looking forward to learning everything I can about my new scoot. Might as well throw my first question out there. There is a plug/connection down by my left knee that looks like it could be for a battery tender or warmer connection of some sort. Can anyone fill me in on what this could be? Thanks for reading my post and good day all.
the more time you spend on her the more you will appreciate the upright riding position AND you have all the looks and performance of a sport bike to boot!!
That would be the plug in question. I apologize, haven't even had time to dig into the bike yet because of my job.
That looks a lot like the battery tender connection. As a matter of fact, if it is isn't, I'll be very surprised. Welcome to the madness.
Typical battery tender connector. Or with the right converters it can be a phone charger or many other useful devices.
