For the first time on the VFR I am going to take my 16 year old + camping gear for a week to Scotland and back. The suspension is standard factory setting throughout - the manual does not have an advised setting for pillions - what is the concensus as to the settings. He is around 11stone I am around 13 then we have 2 panniers and top box full of stuff???

    Ideas please
    Thanks folks...

    simple answer - maximum everything.

Remember to pack midgie repellent. Oh, and you may get some more response to your question on the UK boards -

Thanks for that.... that is sort of what I was thinking. Yep I agree with the midge repellent. Mind you if the forecasst is for rain, we are heading South (Spain or Italy)!

Sorry, a stone is an "olde english" measurement, that I thught you guys in the US use - but obviously not.
    A stone equals 14lbs

    Stone

I heard it used before, but had to do a quick google to get the exact measurement. We are old fashioned and use pounds, nope none of that metric stuff for us (not that stones are metric) like the rest of the world.
