I have an 04 VFR. 2 days ago i went riding and it ran fine, yesterday morning i go to start it for work and it wouldnt stay started. If I hold the starter switch down it will start and run, but as soon as the switch is released, it dies. Anyone have an insight as to why?

I have an '01 that started running bad and wouldnt stay alive. I drained the tank and got some "expensive" 91 octane and she's doing fine now.

Also mine did the same thing, ran fine one day then the next morning it acted up.

Where do you get your gas? I try to get mine from Shell, Conoco, etc. I usually dont fill my bike up at walmart or at grocery stores that dont put a name up of the gas provider.

Yes there is water in gas and if the tanks at the pumps are low, you're gonna get more than usuall.

for the record, there is no water in the tank, and it had nothing to do with the gas at all, the starter switch went out. but thanks for the thought.
