Hey guys hope someone else has come across this. FI lite stays on, bike will start and run poorly for a minute or two, then die. Tried to read codes but nothing shows the FI lite just stays on. Charging system is working correctly output voltage is 14V + .
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    Bill

    Is your side stand down?
The FI light will only blink codes when side stand is down, and rpm is below 5000, otherwise it will only stay on.

Check the battery. Mine would start and run a few minutes, the FI light would come on and it would stall. I checked the RR wires and they looked good. Put in a new battery and all is well. Doesn't make sense that it would start with a bad battery but it did.

TinkerinWstuff good call, mine wasn't burned up or melted at all but when I moved the plug around the light went off (FI) and every things seems to have gone back to normal. So that being said what would any of you recommend as a permeant fix. ?
    Thanks again
    Bill

I've tweaked on the tabs to get a better connection. That lasted a year and problems returned. Eventually, I removed the plastic and soldered all the connectors together. The right way would be to use a compact terminal strip with screw connections.
