2nd ammendment? Really? I believe this give the civil populace the right to bear(check spelling) arms against the established government during a time of unrest against that government.

Cant carry because of it, just protects your right to have and possess. Its your firearms act/bill that allows you to carry in a state that allows for it. Please, read the constitution and the ammendments in their entirety before you hold it up as a right.

Prairies Canada, every farm has at least one gun. Pistols are restricted, but common enough as well. The theory as explained to me is, no gun, no shooting. But so far thats not true. We have a tenth of the shootings the US has, we also have a tenth the population and more room to get away from each other. If our populations were the same, I would think our rate of shootings would be similar. But thats just an opinion of a cynical asshole.

With the proper holster if you go down your gun is not coming out . You need a little more then a walmart holster lol .
As for Canada , you guys don't need guns to protect yourself because it's so cold up there you don't want to take your hands out of your pockets and or the big pass time game there is pocket pool . lol
I have a very good friend who lives in west side of Canada and he disagrees with you sir .
If I had my way I would have a lever action rifle in a leather holster on the side of my bike the way they had them on there horses back in the day . lol Josie wales lol . By the way my wife carrys a .40 with her everyday even when she rides . My teen age boys can take care of themselves if someone comes in here also . There is more of something bad happening with kids and guns when you tell them don't touch and stay away . then teaching them how to properly handle them . The curiosity factor is gone .

I actually agree with the education method. Teach them, show them that these tools need respect and how to be safe. Too many bleedinghearts are a no gun is safe. Too bad they dont understand a gun has never killed anyone.

I know a few west coasters that would disagree with me, I spent 21 years just outside vancouver. But then again city folk are taught that guns are bad, only bad men and cops (point of veiw here) have guns. I know a couple 8year olds whom have there own .22 rifles and spend the summer varmenting. Philosophy aside, if proper education was provided and proper enforcement of storage for the ammunition separate of the gun, then 80% of the shootings would not happen. So in this we can agree, oh and canada is like Michigan, north Dakota, Montana, you get the picture? We are not as different as one may believe, weather wise nor culture.

I stick it in my tail bag, if I am driving, I stick it my door panel or glove box, if I am walking around, I stick it in my pocket. Going to NYC in a few weeks, won't be checking it in my baggage but will toss in that ASP baton I gotst. Just for good measure, that and the Spyder knife and all is gud. Love TX, been to Pharr, it was far oot fer sure, had my sub-compact there going through "border-check-point charlie." Nobody asked me jack aboot anything, even though its a sub-compact, you always know when you got it on you as it kinda of weights your pants down :pound: Like my kel-tec 380 for CC.

Been to Alaska, they have open carry, it looks strange seeing people oot and aboot with a piece on their hip. Just saying :rambo: Cheers

So I tell him why would I want to be in a little shack with him and other guys for 3 or 4 days Drinking beer the whole time ? I won't even remember the trip . Get a bigger Shack and put in a stripper pole and have some women there and I'm all for it . lol

They have shacks like that too. As for cold... after 10F and colder you do t really feel it. Just stay one or two provinces away from the coast or large bodies of water. At -40 it doesnt matter which scale or area your in, its cold!

I usually conceal unless I'm riding the horses. I don't carry as often lately as it's just too inconvenient, in my opinion, with the the toddler running around right now. It was easier to get home, plop on the couch and throw it on the counter. Now I have to be that much more careful about locking up.

Think I'm gonna start carrying mine on my hip while I ride. Gas stations here can get sketchy...

Thought about strapping my AR across my back and rolling out. If I didn't think some yuppie hipster would call the cops, I would do just that lol.

I carry my 1911 in my backpack when I'm riding (unless I'm going to school of course.) I've been known to stop and smoke a cigarette from time when I'm out tooling around and it makes me feel a little more safe being out on a relatively indefensible vehicle. For a while I thought maybe I was just being silly, but it came in handy a couple weeks ago when I was sitting in a well-lit empty parking lot taking a little rest. A few guys rolled up in a sedan and immediately started asking where I was from, (almost always a sign of trouble in certain segments of the population) so I told them I lived just a few miles up the road. The back doors of the car opened. My backpack was open on the ground by the bike so I reached in and grabbed it, pulled it out and casually checked the chamber. Conversation over, car doors closed, watched them drive off south, put my lid on got my gear and hauled ass north. I like to think it spared all of those involved from being in what could have been an ugly, violent situation.

This thread is missing some info that appears on nearly every thread. I'll start:

    I have over 600 guns.

Damn Nih!!!! We have to party sometime!!!! I thought having a PS 90 was small and compact. I have taken this to the range in a backpack ...

I have a shoulder holster and a wasteband holster. My carry consealed can fit in my riding jacket pocket and when Im wearing cargo pants it fits well in the side pocket. How bout, I prefer not to have it on my persons while riding. I will put it in my tank bag if I have that with me. But yes if I dont have the tank bag, then its on me. When I go out its a peice that has to go with me no different than asking my self before I leave the house, "watch, check. Wallet, check. Keys, check. Gun, check." I prefer not to have it "on" me while riding but I do. If, god forbid, I get into an accident, and lets say its the favorable lowside. I dont want to land on a big chunk of metal and may break some ribs/break a vertabre because I had it on me as opposed to just getting up and walking away if I had not had it on me.

Now back to the internet to find that elusive .9 tenths of a gun.

I think I may be at fault for all this iron carrying. Some of those harleydoods are not really that dangerous except for the lawyers.

These days, it's not how many guns you have but how much ammo you have hoarded up.
