Any ideas that I can do to change the headlight and make it more modern? I have some ideas but I want hear from you guys before I tell you mine. So fire away no matter what the cost or labor, because I might want to mass produce these if its the coolest thing ever.

well what i was going to on my VF was either fit it with an HID set up or a silverstar bulb or do both....run the silverstar for awhile till i could afford the HID. after all all these bikes use for a bulb is an H4.

what about the custom setup they used on that kit bike a couple months back in Cycle World? Remember the article about the harley engine with semi sporty position and stuff that they had such a headache trying to get titled and stuff cause of new rules about customs or something. Anyway, it's a little spaceage looking, but might work. I;d also look at aftermarket stuff for the SV650. you could prob make that work with a little fine tuning.

I like it too...that treatment would look great on the larger 700/750/1000 with its turned up tail.

One question...is the housing the bulb is in bike specific...got wondering if a standard 5x7 housing was used...if so one could easily swap in a diamond cut H4 headlight housing on these bikes.....hmmm me thinks i have some exprementation to do with my spare parts...

Im thinkin i may spend about $4 and buy a cheep replacement 5x7 bulb and see if it fits...if it does cool...i will make the spare headlight/faring frame into a light for the shop with it or something. Then order a Diamond cut housing for my 85. Well that or remove said spare headlight housing and take it to Canadian tire and compare it to a 5x7 replacement.

Change in direction on my headlight project...Im thinking the bikes gonna wind up with projector lights stacked on top of each other Ducati style or mounted like the LSL Mig-lights..

I have all my mag lights set up for my rifles. I did see some diamond cut lights at the store that replace halogen lights. I was thinking of buying them for $40 and then useing one on my bike and selling the other one. I think that I have a halogen light in my bike now. Its not the best. And since the only downside I can see on my 1st gen is the headlight that would fix it right up.

Make sure those lights are for H4 headlights since thats what these bikes use.
