I was thinking of shipping my VFR to HI to touring around in?

Some women in Hi wants to marry me and she looks Hot< should I leave cold maine and bring my vfr with me or get a bike there? HI is 4,000 sq miles and 750 miles of ocean front. Will my bike get rusty? I don't know what to do? Can I ship my show cats? Should I leave freezing Maine to live with a hot wife or stay in maine with the cold?

If you are being serious, there are a few things to consider, 1). The cost of living is really high, so if you are not really well off, going to marry a "sugar momma", or have a good paying job that will let you relocate, think it through. 2). If you do ship your cats there, they may have to be put into quarantine for a month!, there are exceptions but you'd have to read up on them. 3). You're on an island and regardless of the square footage, there are only so many roads you can ride on. That being said, if you like surfing, sailing, scuba diving, hell anything that involves the water/ocean, you might find it very appealing. The wife and I have vacationed there many times and have visited at least 4 of the islands and each has its own appeal, but ultimately for us, there's no place like home, Southern California!

Personally I would spend a few weeks, maybe a month there and rent a motorcycle to see if it's for you. Or, you can always compromise and move to California, lots of roads here, you can get away from the Maine cold and we're close to Hawaii if you girl gets home sick. :wink:

Riding in HI is pointless unless it's the big island. If it's Oahu you are heading to, sell your VFR right now and just pick up a scooter or small bike because that's all you are going to be able to use. The big island has enough roads to satisfy a real bike. The other islands, hell to the no, not even worth the trouble.

I'd like to retire in Maui myself. A reinforced shack with a shower and toilet will work.

I believe its the big island, I am going to see if she will Skype with me, I had phony people respond to my ad before but she seems to be the real deal so far. I think she is a bit of a loner, she teaches deaf people how to get along. But so far her offer is a lot better than Maine. Time will tell if she real or not. She seems to write a lot, but I think sitting under a coconut tree in 80 degree days next to a big surf sounds a lot better than what I am doing now!:spider:
