Not so. This is about the best rates you can get here. I did have a claim two years ago, the one and only ever on my bike, and only the second claim since pre 1973. I kinda think my driving is not bad. I also think I can safely say I have driven in more adverse conditions and situations that most here, but not all. That's just the way it is here in Canadastonia. We pay through the nose for insurance and get little in return. Make a claim, and the fight is on. Then they bump your rates allowing them to recover their loss. That happened to me with home owners insurance and the theft of a very ecpensive bicycle even though that was the first and only claim I had ever made on household insurance. Hate to think of what my wife will go through with life insurance when I croak.

Las Vegas. Full coverage. Limits are 100/300/100, with full replacement value on my 2007. I pay about 480/yr. It hasn't changed since I bought it brand new in 2008. But I will say some insurance companies were quoting me 2500/yr, because they either thought it was a sportbike, therefore higher risk, or the company they represented just didn't really want to write motorcycle policies in Las Vegas.

Any time you make a claim, the insurance company doesn't like you Randy, they now consider you a Big Risky Rider. I don't even have a parking ticket:fish::spit::whoo::spy:

I bet if you started claiming the damage from all the spills, drops and tipovers, A: your rates would be much higer and B: You'd best Randy in the number of tipovers contest.

BTW, parking tickets are not moving violations, which makes a great deal of sense legally and literally as well.

I wouldn't make a claim in a slow drop or tip over, perhaps that is why his rate is so high. But maybe I should. I don't like insurance companies either.:der:

wow..glad I don't live in SK anymore! I always laughed when SGI had the signs up comparing insurance rates from other provinces with theirs; I came from NS and the insurance here is significantly cheaper than there.

I pay $200 pl/pd with a million liability here in NS.

They need to introduce a newly licensed driver restriction - 250CC or less for the first two years of riding. After that, max it at 500CC for two further years and fifth year and up you can go any size (all that with proven bike ownership) unless you can show significant riding time (ie racing). I saw a chap here last year on the new riders course take the basic required training on a 125CC, once he got his license at the end of the day, he left on a 1200 *facepalm*. That's why the rates are so high and the insurance companies are raking in the big bux on claims rather than restricting licenses to certain CC sizes until a rider gets comfortable. Of course that's just my opinion.

This could be the key to a successful conclusion. Your insurer cancels you and you are no longer a hazard to yourself and other occupants on the streets and highways.

    I pay 89 US dollars yr for viffer - 500,000 bod/injury each persoin - 500,000 each accident/passenger liability included. Property damage 50,000.
EX500 is 80 US dollars yr same coverage.

Used to run without any insuarance as its not required here, much like the brain buckets. If you got a spoke nipple of common sense though, you have both ; )
