So I used to hang out on the 5th gen board. Sold my 2001 years back. Miss it and stumbled on a 1995 the other day. Bikes not even listed for sale. I was delivering a 1972 CB500F I sold to the guy and in the garage is a neglected 1995 VFR750. Sitting a 3 + years with gas in the carbs. Asking price is $3000. He bought it from a sick buddy to be nice. So is it worth it.

    Good
    Near mint shape.
    Low Ks 35,000
    sweet vin# ends in 500001

    Bad
    Battery dead
3 minor scuffs Mirror, bar end muffler from storage
Will start and idle rough but dies on any throttle.
    Old tires
    May need full tune-up

    Sorry bad phone pic.

    Politely & respectfully low-ball em.

If he did buy it off of a buddy to be nice he may not have much of an attachment to it. And may just let it go.

Any rust in the tank? I'd pass depending on how much rust there is. I think is too much money for that bike considering you can get a similar one in running conditions for just as much.

I agree with Ridevfr's comment above. $2000 (U.S) sounds about right. I know that bikes are generally more expensive in Canada so I can't imagine that it should be more than $2500 Canadian tops. The high mount 2-bros exhaust does look sweet though.

I will offer $1500. That will leave me room for tires, carb clean setup and other stuff.

Yah 3k will get you another 5th gen so an older carbed bike that isn't pristine would be less than 2k in my mind. Tires are probably all hard and cracked too. It just isn't worth it.
