My 1984 700 is leaking fuel out of the little tube that carries fuel between the back two carbs. I have tried with no success to buy a replacement. what can I patch it with? Some epoxy?

    Thanks

Most epoxy isn't resistant to long-term exposure to fuel. Keep looking as replacement is the best option.

If it's been sitting a long time, it's not uncommon for the o'rings to swell back up as they get exposed to fuel.

People have taken brass tubing and copper sleeves to build their own replacement tubes.

I have ran it for about forty seconds on three different starts. And I left the filter full and it didn't seal afer a few days. It sat for two years without being started. I put a battery on it and poured the fuel filter full of gas and it fired right up within 15 seconds of cranking. That's when I saw this leak and a leak on the fuel tank. All in all those two problems seem minor for a bike I have $300 in.

Try to reach in there and rotate the tube a little bit to let it loosen up at the ends and swell those orings. Just don't get rough and break 'em, they are old plastic and can be brittle. There are metal ones on ebay but they want money for those...
