Who Hates Harley Davidson?

They are worn oot red-necks whom some of which are posers. I look in the mirror sometimes and scare the chit oot of my self, I am that fuggly, but I am patriotic and would only ride them HDs' for money. Which is what I do, cruisers by definition are a compromise and put style before function, the mechanics and geometry are "whacked-Oot." That being said, I would have a difficult time seeing some of these aboove mentioned red-necks riding a "standard-naked bike or heavens for bid, a true sport bike."

So, in that context, let them ride what they want and tell em to put air in their farking tyres because it sucks oot loud to push a chitty 700 pound wheel barrell around. Nuff-Sed. Cheers...

 

For 1200 pesos, I wonder how long the extension cord is?

The real money may be in some accessories, A mud scraper, a cheese and baloney slicer, training wheel deployment module, mini-winch attachment, taffy puller ect.

Kudos to Jay Leno for supporting the dude who is proabably a nice guy and a skilled craftsman. With chops like that and some advice from Leno, we may be seeing more of him inventing and building some really usefull farkles.

The demographics are there and HD knows it. There are dudes that dump 30 k into one of those big cruisers and think nothing of it.

^ this^ choices for USA built bikes are somewhat limited unless you just want a cruiser style. Sport bikes? Mr. Buell will give you one at what? $35000?!And you better like twins or is he using the rotax plant?

IMO it might be safe to say that Mr.Buell would be an advocate of the general consensus of this particular topic.

Gotta be a Rotax or other in that new Buell.. Any HD engine save for the HD fuel drag bikes or some blown engine making 185 hp is going to fall into that "walk the rest" thing..

 

I was thinking he had come up with a new motor ala Motul. I haven't done any research on him and his endevors since HD have him the boot. That's when I fully gave up all hope for HD. That was prolly the best thing they could have done for him. I greatly respect the man and all the things he has accomplished.

Hell, let them be who they are, I don't like Harley or the attitude either...so much negativity on a good forum you guys are not true Motorcyclist or at least not mature cyclist if you cannot appreciate all Biking in it's different aspects.

Don't forget that after they screwed Eric they did the same thing to MV Agusta. The Italians are still thanking HD for selling them.

I wrote up a long rant on why I don't like cruisers but alas my phone or tapa talk ate it. This made me want to ask: does anyone here currently or has owned both a VFR or full on sport bike and a HD and if so why and are there multiple costumes in the closet? Pirates and Powerangers? Does your full face helmet Velcro apart to become a snackbowl lid? Does your tank bag have tassels?
I ask because I at one time had a Vrod, a Hayabusa, and the VFR in my garage. There was also a 883 sporty but it was such a effin joke I won't count it as a mc. I could not justify the Vrod as it was slow, uncomfortable, ill mannered, shit for range, loud and only pretty on one side. It's gone and I look back at it as the worst mc purchase I ever made. Patriotism and union pride made me ashamed that a product with the so called prestige that HD carries was a collosal pos.

I think at last count near 50% of a HD is made in Japan, Korea and China. Forks, shock, electrics ect...... Assembled in U.S.

It's a global economy and I can't imagine an all USA built vehicle short of a bicycle or skate board being reliable enough to ply our highways and byways. Sad but if I'm lying tell me.

Victory bikes are almost 100%. There is some electronic part they get from Holland I think. Not sure about the new Indians, have not looked into them yet.

 

Old Indians were here before we were. They looked into Custer.
