Sounds like you haven't been riding in a while. My guess is the weather. Ride on! and Ride safe!

Still too cold to ride, I put off starting it today. This weather suks, last year it was 20 degrees warmer. I want to ride but the salt is still around and its 40 degrees. I want to start the bike and let it run till it heats up all the way and burn off siome of the water that must be in the tank:stickhorse:

Of course there is water in the tank, thats why we add more gas.

I wouldnt worry too much about the water, youve done everything right. Now put on some long johns, double up on the socks and go for a shake down ride.

Im in saskatchewan, as soon as the ice is gone we start riding. 40deg f is plenty warm enough to ride!

the driveway is so full of mud-I wouldn't be able to get out. I need that carbon slip-on to lose high weight- 2 bros uses only one muffler active. Folding levers to need to be installed, I have new m5 metzler tires too=needed to put on,. The original tires suk. The roads are in very poor shape right now. Soon though the weather should change.:kc10::kc10::boxing2:

I feel for you my southern brotha, but I must add salt to wounds. The weather conditions here though nippy have made the streets ridable, the dirt roads tolerable though getting soft. So I have been doing a little riding when I can get away from work long enough.

I started the vfr 800 yesterday after months of sitting. It started right up-I ran it till the fan came on at 222 then the temp went down to 206, I did this three times to make sure I burned off any water in the gas-it had seaform, tech ron,dry gas, fuel stabilizer in the tank. I also fixed the panels on good after putting a R+G sliders on, now just got to put on the 2 bos carbon slip-on and folding levers, m5 new tires. The bike sounded real good, but its raining today with a sea of mud in the driveway. Going to get a plate on soon and take it on a long ride to burn out all the old gas! I wonder if I need to change the oil-it only has 200 miles on a oil and filter change I did before throwing a cover over it for winter?:vtr2::vtr2::drums:

    Sounds like fun!
It's snowing again here so not much chance we will be riding any time soon.

Looks like you ride in really bad weather-here it can rain very hard. I like how the VFR has a really good fairing-may add a touring Zero gravity wind screen or maybe something else-in clear so I can see though it. In poring rain you can use the wind screen to keep the water off if you duck down. I have a dark Zero gravity double bubble right on in dark, but it is nice. Some motorcycle tires are made to be better than others in rainy and low temp-I would guess the new metzler tires would be great in rain-the tires on the bike are still originals-metzler and the rubber is kind of dried out.
