IMG_5385.jpg IMG_5393.jpg IMG_5394.jpg IMG_5415.jpg In 2007 I walked into my local Honda dealer and there it was.....sitting up high on display, Red, White, Blue and beautiful. I've always had a "thing" for the Interceptors, all generations, but there was something about this one that I knew, one day I gotta have one! Well, raising a family and being in the military dictated I wait, and wait, and wait. So I did. Fast forward to September photo-43.jpg , 2013. I found a 2007 25th Anniversary on Cycle Trader, 3 miles on it. I contacted the owner (Owner of a BMW/Triumph dealership in Salem, VA) who collects bikes. Still had the factory saddle bags in the original packaging. Unfortunately I couldn't come to terms with them on the price and another gentleman eventually purchased the bike in Nov. For some strange reason in January 2014, after only 197 miles, the gentleman who purchased the Interceptor decided to trade it in for a VTX1300. My good luck starts here. The salesman who had been working with me in Sep called me immediately and asked if I would be interested in the bike, still in "New" condition, 197 miles, Two-Bros exhaust, stock exhaust, saddle bags still in factory packaging, for $2500 less than they had been asking in September? I about fell over. For me this is my lottery win.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to name drop or talk about dealerships on this site, but Nate Jennings at Frontline Eurosports in Salem, VA is my hero!

The bike arrived in NH on Tuesday, March 18th. She's perfect.

I can't wait to break her in properly, and then thoroughly bond with this beautiful beast! No longer a "Hangar-Queen", she will be a road warrior!

What kind of setup did they use to strap the front end down ?

I hate using canyon dancers on the bars....

I used http://www.keyboardmotorcycleshipping.com They have a detailed video on their web-site regarding how they ship bikes. They were more $ than some others I looked at, but in the end I was really impressed with the quality. My bike arrived as advertised. The front end was secured with strapping that went up and over the frame, the sheep-skin is only there to protect the painted parts from the cargo strap.

The white rims are pretty but you would tire of them quickly trying to keep them that way (with you weather) you'd be cleaning them more often than you brush your teeth. Do you think you'll be doing any mods? Or to soon to think about it?

Never too soon to think about mods, but I'm not educated enough on this generation to know what's good and what't not. I don't have any performance mods in mind right now other than possibly a high flow air filter. I would be interested in some possible lighting mods. Do you know of any headlight LED/HID type mods?

Wow that was really nice of him to buy it, mod it up a bit and then turn it back in so you could have it for less$$ What are the odds of that?

Awesome looking machine you have there and welcome to the club!

Welcome to The World R Dub!

That is a score! I thought my '09 had low miles when I bought it back in 2011 (346 miles), like your situation, the PO rode for only a short period of time and traded it in. As the saying goes, "his loss was my gain!". I have white wheels on my 5 Gen and although it does look sharp, keeping them clean is a PITA! There are other colors that look really good too on an RWB so if you're inclined to change your wheel color, I'm sure you can find another that suits your taste and not require a tooth brush to keep clean.

Enjoy your new bike and ride safe!

Couldn't agree more Jethro, I got super lucky and got a great salesman who called me out of the blue when this bike became available again.

Thanks for the welcome and your bike looks sick!

I don't understand why people buy these amazing bikes and only put a few miles on them, but i'm glad they do! I really haven't given wheel color much thought, but it seems to be a popular topic here so now my "wheels" are turning.

Thanks for the welcome and your cat is a stud.
