Having anything ripped off sucks, bummer to hear about that. I'm a believer in Karma, theives will get what they deserve somewhere down the line.

Sorry man, there is nothing that words can help when we experence the loss of a loved one. Just know you should never blame yourself. I worked some cases where 4 guys in a van would pull up to a bike and with two pieces of wood ... through the tires ... in the van ... no time flat. People like that will get what they deserve. I just hate we sometimes don't get to see it. The best of luck with the insurance company.

My mom is gonna look into the insurance deal for me, but she said don't expect much!

I also gave the serial number and everything to the campus police (it was stolen at school), so I dunno if there's really much else I can do.

Unless I see someone riding it around campus, then they'll get a nice drop kick in the chest!!!

sorry to hear about your bike being stolen.. If you catch the guy before the police break both his arms and legs and cut his fingers off with bolt cutters.

Now with the formalities out of the way proceed to kick his ass.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that somebody jacked your bike. What school do you go to?

I have to leave my bike at a family member's house during the school year (close enough I can drive a few hours and ride on the weekend). I treat my VFR like a horse...park it right out front of whatever building I'm in, check on it periodically, and keep it in a safe remote place during longer storage periods.

I'm at UMD College Park and have had umbrellas stolen, books, a tshirt, etc. Somebody pelted my friend's car (parked at his apartment near some bars) with rocks, which resulted in thousands of dollars in damage. We had to chase down a drunken fool pushing my friend's vstrom down the street. I even found some chump going through my backpack in the library. I threw him into a cart of books and he fled away like a wounded weasel. Most of the time, this stuff is done by students...I feel for ya.
