Last week I purchased my second VFR so I figured it was time to hop onto the forum. I now have a 1997 VFR 750 and a 2003 VFR 800 vtec. VFRs are the only bikes I have ever owned. My first bike was was 1986 VFR 700. It had 36K on it and still could make some long trips. I am in the eastern CT and RI region, looking to do some rides and meets this year.
Are you busting our chops with sticks, or do you really own a VFR? This is a tough crowd to please and members will want to see pictures. Welcome.

Welcome to The World! I like the Respol paint scheme, don't see too many of those around. Out of curiosity, which one did you recently pick up? The 4 Gen or the 6 Gen? I had my 6 Gen first then I decided I wanted a 5 Gen and bought one last year. The gear driven cam models seem to be more in demand lately. As far as rides go, don't be shy, just post up a ride call and see if anyone answers. Always good to give a meeting time/place and a brief description of what you have planned.
The 2003 VFR 800 was the bike I just purchased. Don't hate me world but I was actually looking for a GSXR. I have always been a fan of the blue and white gsxrs with the white rims. After a month of searching and not finding one that had not been molested I came across the vfr 800. I loved the REPSOL scheme and it was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. Got it for 3500, I think it was a good deal. It has a snorkel / flapper mod which the previous owner did to increase cold air flow. It also has a power commander 3 set up to use a gutted exhaust although it is currently running the stock exhaust. The paint is actually a fairing kit the first owner bought. I have been researching it because two panels need to be replaced. The entire kit goes for a little under $700, not sure what the individual panels cost. The kit includes a gas tank cover so you don't actually have to get anything painted. Seems to be a good option if you dump a bike (mine does not seem to have been dumped).
