DON'T ORDER FROM 1TAIL.COM

1st off I ordered a rear fender eliminator kit for my 2007 VFR 800 from 1tail.com .
1 week went by and nothing , So I called them got put on hold 2 times by a guy named Dustin and hung up on me both times .
I called back and all he could say is we are very busy what do I want . So I asked if my part shipped out .
puts me on hold again then come back and tells me that the warehouse lost my order that he will put it back in could take 7 to 10 days before it ships .
Told him I have been waiting over a week . He tells me that he's busy and he will refund my money if I want but that could take 2 to 4 weeks and they will charge me a restock fee of 15% . Now remind you this order has not been pulled for shipping . But then he go's on to tell me that they don't do enough business with guys with VFR's so I don't care what you want to do . So at this point I'm HOT ! I told him to ship me the part . So 1 more week go's by and nothing , No email tracking # nothing . So I call back up and Guess who answers the phone ? Mr. Sunshine , Dustin . So asked has my part shipped and he tells me , I don't have time for this hold on . Never picks back up . later that night I get a Email saying my order will be shipping out the next day . So Looked at it and shows it will be here today .
Good news ? NO ! never came . FedEx showed it was delivered already . Well it's not at my door . So I called fedex and they told me oh it's got your name on it but 1tail shipped it to CA . I live in VA . WTF ??????? . So I called them up Mr . Dustin picks up . tell him whats going on this time . He tells me next time you call have your order number ready we are busy . enough is enough I WENT OFF !!!! And told him to put his manager on the phone . His manager gets on the phone and I went crazy on him , Even put the phone up to my bike and started it up and started rev it up . Then I asked him if he knows what that was . He says a motorcycle .
I said not just a motorcycle but a Honda VFR 800 with no fender eliminator kit on it . Then I went on to tell him I want my part or I will drive the bike right up his ass !
So all said my part will be here wed , It was shipped today with tracking to VA . Funny thing is I ordered parts from Japan the same day I ordered this part and got the parts from Japan last week . So guys stay away from this place . And if you do stay away from Mr. Sunshine , Dustin .

 

not sure why you ordered it from them. You can get it direct from the manufacturer for 10 bucks cheaper....

 

Same one they have ? I have seen 3 or 4 out there . But I like this one the most

cause that's the only kit I see listed for your VFR on their site.

 

You're lucky the manager wasn't one of Billy's Harley mates or the offer of driving you're bike up his arse would have been right up his alley, so to speak.

 

yup that's the one . The point of this post is the way they treat someone .

 

Reminds me of my experience with Umnitza (aftermarket headlights for cars). Brother I feel your pain. These scumbags will lie their tails off because you are not in the same state and they know they can mess around without much repercussion. Infuriating! Thanks for the heads up!

yeah, sorry man. that's the exact same product I linked before. they took so long cause they had to order from competition werkes and you paid a $10 service fee for the inconvenience. sucks to hear about your experience. I usually try to buy direct whenever possible.

 

I have an Email addy for Guido and Tony if anyone else has problems with Dustin.

 

There is no bar that sticks down. What you see in the picture is the passenger peg assembly in the background. The angle of the picture makes it look like its coming off the eliminator but it's actually behind it. I would have just told 1Tail to F*** off and then disputed the full amount with my credit card company. You went through all the trouble and didn't even get a discount? Did the manager say anything about the way his employee treated you?
