    Edit: Additional questions

On second thought, Note 6 indicates these are locking bolts do not reuse.

The screw diameter is 6mm and the 14 ft-lb torque, which is TWICE as high as for normal M6 screws, higher even for those with 8 or 10 mm wide flanged heads. Why is it so high?

There is no direction to use any liquid thread lock compound.

What is the wheel hub material--a heat treated aluminum alloy such as 6061?

What is the lock bolt material--a stainless steel or cte-matching (e.g. dilivar) alloy?

What thread features make this a non-reusable lock bolt?

    Just a nanosecond there, Mr.

Go mock the Kahn Academy, if you will, you merciless mocker ! Or the Internet ! Or Canadian beer !

KB is quite possibly our most well-informed member regarding theory and practice within the broad scope of contemporary engineering and science, unmatched in clearly explaining complex matters of science and engineering in a simple, good-ole Souhthin' Boy, backwad ballcap, downhome way for technically challenged riders who may need safety suggestions befor bolting things up as well as foggy assumptions dismissed like beans, cuz they never studied the books he has. His opinions, unlike so many, are informed by prodigious practical wrenching combined with modern engineering facts. A man with a very impressive day job, i feel sure. Some kinda Rocket Scientist type at work probably, wearing a tie.

I'm just trended alot toward enjoying plastic deformation type technical talk

Well shit. With all this, I guess I have fugged the bike up royally by using the bolts over again. Seems like a damned good reason to give the wiffy to go out and get myself one of those 2014 VFRs I think.

Seems plausible for a female to buy. Good angle, not to be confused with torque angle, anyway...Like the story aboot the pump too

esky-900 is reused the old dried up Loctite may have an adverse effect on final torque. Honda recommends replacing the caliper mounting bolts. How many of us replaced those after unbolting the calipers to remove the wheels? Honda also recommends replacing the bolt for the handlebar weights. Overkill?
