I need a slip-on exhaust for my vfr 800 2006-losing weight up top is the main reason as well as a better sound. What slip-on would you get and where?:vtr2:

I have FMF Apex Carbon on mine...light and sounds amazing. Just do a search to find best price (they're a bit expensive compared to others).

I went with a custom made Two Brothers M-2 Torched Titanium V.A.L.E. slip-on exhaust system on my '03.

Toss the fully functional but non-operating left side exhaust can, hanger bracket, and dummy pipe on the parts shelf (these parts are just for show only on the Two Bros M-2 series slip-on exhaust systems because the right side pipe does all the work) and now you're talking a mere 4.7 pounds of total weight for the "S bend" pipe and right side exhaust can.

That's nearly 15 pounds lighter than the "boat anchor" stock slip-on exhaust system.

Just a heads-up,Two Brothers makes this exact same M-2 slip-on exhaust system in Carbon Fiber which is even lighter than the Titanium system that I'm using.

The open look at the left side rear of the bike does take a bit of getting used to though.

Wanna shave another 4.9 pounds of weight from your '06 Sunofwolf?

Then ditch the heavy 14.65 pound stock catalytic converter equipped header pipes......

.....and replace them with a lighter 9.75 pound set of aftermarket Cat-less header pipes like these from Sandy Bike Spares LTD.

These two simple changes shave nearly 20 pounds of excess weight off the bike.

I know who has 2 bothers slip on, but leo Vincent exhaust is out of stock. I am thinking a carbon 2 bothers might be the best option. I don't want to spend the money on headers right now and don't want to retune the bike either. I am thinking simple easy things to do. So far I have cut down the stock seat one inch-don't think it came out too good, I have new metzler m5 tires and new f And I need to folding levers. I have to figure out the carbon canister lines too-I took both of the lines off which made the gas tank pressurized-not good. Got to fix that. I have sliders on now. Added tank pads. I don't want to mod too fast and screw up the bike-black 06 abs with 4600 miles on it-in near perfect shape. I think its a very nice bike. I need to customize to mak:smokin:e it easy to ride.

Kind of Funny insider, you bought that fancy set of headers, but don't put them on! It looks like I am going to get a carbon 2 bros slip-on. I wonder how much lighter they are over the 4.7lb TI version. I don't plan on using the dummy exhaust. I would have to retune the bike if I switched to the catless headers. I would like to do that,
but I need to get all the bugs out of 06 vfr first. I want to set it up as fast as I can for some serious riding this summer. My idea's so far, sargent seat,2 bos carbon slip-on, folding levers, m5 metzler tires, new fork oil and plugs and stock air filter_ flush out the brake fluid. I am going to stop there after I get that stuff on good as I can. I might pay a shop to do the fork oil and plugs-just because I want to get the bike up and running to speed fast. I think the 16 lb+ off the high spot will help me from dropping this top heavy bike. I have added sliders-that was a real pain in ass, cut down stock seat-put me too much onto the tank, adding tank pads-too small. :laser::shower:

leos sound above, i got them a couple months ago and was really trying to compare exhaust and weight, it's hard to even find the weights listed but maybe the GPR short exhaust could be an option.

if you are looking for leo vince try calling 58cycle, i first ordered there but then it was 8 wks wait, so got at another site, they might have by now.

I really like the 2 bros look but air only comes out of one exhaust, eh.

They are already posted in the Classified's...

Looks like the European style slip-on is sleek and light weight. What would stock look like?? Never mind....
