no, i'm in AZ, but they had such great prices that i couldn't say no, even after shipping and FFL fees. i got a stripped lower and built it with one of their kits.

I cant blame you for that, They make a solid product. Their manufacturing facility is in Columbia and they recently opened a retail store/indoor range ten minutes from my house.

Sweet rifle by the way, I dig the custom work.

So far progress on the bike has been slow, work and the lady have kept me busy. As for now, the new tank is stripped and soaking in MEK to get the KREEM sealer out of it. Afterwards, I'll takes it to a radiator shop and have it sealed then on to bondo and paint. The bike is now up and running on its own thanks to a handy Briggs & Stratton tank, I can now ride it around the neighborhood.

Since my right muffler is rusted out at the end, I happened across a yoshimura exhaust system off an '84 vf700f online for only $180!!

Is this an actual Yoshi kit? Or do I just have Yoshi slip ons on a factory set of headers and pipes? Any insight is appreciated.

All i'd say is the obvious truth: Any newer bike is a better bike ! If someone really wants to ride an antique VF, good luck finding any new parts when you need them. Like marrying yourself to an old, old woman with multiple medical problems, imo.:cower:

But, BUT, we Canadians can be helpful. What for example would you do if you lost your directions on how to build an igloo. LOL.

Those would be slip ons to the OEM exhaust. Good looking barn find, great you're bringing it back to life.

And yeah, more side-boob please. :eagerness:

Oh and pics of the tats, pretty cool looking.

Well its been awhile since an update and I apologize for that. The bike is finally running on its own, tagged and insured and DAMN is it fun. Ran into a few normal issues (fouled plug and the electric fans not kicking on at temperature) but aside from that and a random speedometer issue this vintage bike is a sweetie.

Of course, pictures of the antique:

Also, sorry fellas, I'm not allowed to share anymore pictures of sideboob.. Still in the doghouse for that one. But here's a random Google image to help "scratch the itch":
