Yeah, I have one. Don't waste your money. Just buy a touring screen.

Just got a Powerbronze with a slight tint - went to put it on today & one of the fairing screws is spinning in the hole (the female metal thread is spinning in the plastic - aaarrrggggghhhh) Now I have to ever so carefully dremel it out & rethread it

I have been waiting for this screen for 6 weeks (ordered a week after I got the bike) busting to see it on the bike - another week to sort it

    Givi Windscreen

I am 6' and just installed the Givi on my 6th Gen last week. The wind moved from the chin of my helmet up to the middle of the visor. It has made no improvement in wind noise or redirecting the bugs. I am very disappointed and this appears to be the tallest windscreen on the market. Does anyone else out there know of any taller windscreen solutions?

Also not very satisfied with the clarity. You should be able to see the issues in the pics below. These are much more apparent when you're actually looking at the screen, you do not need to get at such a steep angle as i did to make it visible in the pics.

That's ridiculous...My puig double bubble has great wind properties and I can see right through it with little distrortion (not that I look through my windscreen when I ride, though...). Maybe you want to try putting a laminar lip on the top edge of your new screen. That may take care of the problem, but I think you are trying to make the bike a Goldwing (or a big tourer) in regards to wind protection. I find it helpful to lean on the wind a bit when I am riding to lessen fatigue anyways but I doubt you are going to end up with the wind going up over your head unless you get a Goldwing or a Harley...

Yeah, i dont have to see through it to ride but it just looks cheesy.

Givi screen measures 20 3/8" from tip to the top. Could anyone with a Zero gravity measure from the tip between the headlights to the top of the screen and post.

    thanks

17" on the button. I wonder if the shape of the double bubble does more than the size of the Givi. I am 6'4" and I feel like the wind protection is great...even better in a tuck (obviously...)

I'm looking for the touring version, it looks a good bit taller.

I like the stock screen. Wind, I can deal with. It's the uuugh bugs that are my bother. I carry a small spray bottle and a cloth under the seat, make periodic stops for a face-shield wipe.

put the Powerbronze on - the wind now hits me right in the visor - but it is so easy to duck under & get some still air (just a hard position to hold for the whole 80k commute each morning in -4 deg winter temps. (I am 172cm/5ft 8)

May get the Puig, just to compare & sell the one I don't like.

I've got a ZG ST screen that has been great but I always seem to be in a noisy area of windblast. No buffeting but if I sit up tall it's quiet and smooth, if I hunch over same. Where I sit is loud. So I did this last week...

It's a faceshield for a fire helmet attached with well nuts and a small piece of rubber hose to cut down on chafing.

That is a great mod. Please post how it turns out and where you got the faceshield from.

I love it. Almost blocks too much for the summer time. The shield came from my training academy where they toss them cause they can't use them on the training helmets. I intercepted a pair and you can have the other but it does not fit the OEM 6th gen windscreen, only the touring screen due to the curvature.

    That's awesome! I'll PM you.

I have a 5th gen with an aftermarket screen. It looks like it will work great.

+1 this is the same outfit on my rig! I'm 6'1" - wind hits mid chest and you can bend over just slightly and wind clears your head completely.

Rather than start a new thread- just wanted to chime in on how BAD the Zero Gravity Double Bubble screen is for me at 6'1" tall.
I broke my ZG the other day on a driveway tip over into my car's bumper. Aside from a paint nick and busted mirror- it's been a blessing.

Turns out running without a windshield I get nice even airflow across my chest. It's a more exhilerating ride and no more helmet buffeting. I could always duck a few inches and get out of the buffeting to a large extent- but now its just nice even airflow. I can also hear how NICE the engine sounds!!!

I encourage everyone to pull off their windshield just for fun- 2 phillips screws and pull up to release the J tabs and take it for a spin:)

I have a factory knock off coming from a chinese ebay seller for 25 bucks. I'm prepared to cut it down to nothing and add a little rubbber lip... but something tells me I won't have to. Damn you ZG!!

Here's the bike pre-tip over instant windshield mod:
    IMG_7443.jpg

Edit: the eBay one came and fits fine. It does look a bit purple when looking through it from the back. From the front it looks black- the sun would have to be shining through it from the back for the front to look purple.

It also works much better for me- although my arai helmet now has an annoying whistle.
